JONATHAN BURWELL

Over the last decade I have worked on projects with Pepsi, Gant, Sharpie,  Stella Artois, Bring Change to Mind , The Discovery Channel, Fujifilm, and Jungle Wild Productions. 

I was also selected as an Artist in Residence at Abington Theatre Company during there  2018-2019 and helped curate and develop their Around The Table Reading Series.

 I have performed as an actor at The Metropolitan Opera for 17 seasons with the company, appearing in over 60 productions, including the 2019-20 SOLD OUT run of Porgy & Bess, company debuts of Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking, Anthony Davis'  X: The Life and Times of Malcolm, Terrance Blanchard's Fire Shut Up In My Bones, Terrance Blanchard's Champion, Thomas Adès’ The Exterminating Angel, and John Adam’s Nixon in China I have also been part of over 30 of the companies HD Broadcasts streamed live in over 60 countries and  on Great Performances at The Met on PBS. 

I am also regularly producing events and readings. Including Art On The Rise, an event to showcase women artist. The Last Day Of Black History Month: A Conversation With A Naked Black Southern Lesbian, a one woman show performed at Joe's Pub, Muliebrity : The Condition of Being a Woman, a comedy show at Duane Park, and Lady L’Amour's Final Bow, A Burlesque Murder Mystery at Duane Park.
